In designing our evaluation tool, I also searched for vendors or solutions provider company that is offering Learning System Management (LMS) as their product. I was amazed that most if these vendors has already integrated some of the emerging technologies available in their products to further enhance its features like AI, gamification and social learning. Nowadays, corporate training and digital education heavily rely on learning management systems (LMS). These platforms enhance the learning experience and simplify the process of administering and delivering courses. In continuation with last week's blog about how I came up with my evaluation tool, I would like to share the five (5) criteria I have chosen concerning selecting what emerging technologies software platform can address the needs of the business to implement a centralized learning management system (LMS): Criterion 1: Features and Functionality   This is a qualitative criterion that considers the features and functionality of the LMS in terms of providing content management, reporting/analytics, customization, certification management, and positive user experience. This criterion holds 35% of the weight in choosing the proper vendor. This determines the capability of the vendor to provide the primary purposes of having a centralized LMS.  Last week in the Emerging Technologies class, we designed an evaluation tool to test and measure possible emerging technologies and their ability to close the identified business gap we came up with during the first week of the course. In my case, the identified business gap is an organization's lack of a Learning Management System. The organization needs a centralized learning platform for its employees despite having an identified list of training required for each worker/staff. They only have a list of identified training requirements per staff (depending on their role). Still, there needs to be a tool that provides a platform hosting all appropriate training materials and resources that the employees can easily access. Having a centralized learning management system (LMS) would be ideal to ensure that every employee has completed their required training materials, and it would be easier to track and report the training completion rates and training performance of the employees...
